My Shadow Knaves Story
Our lives are our stories. Some people live in ways that inspire others. Some never look beyond the borders of their own sweet or sour little worlds.
My inspiration didn’t come from others. It came through the thinning of the veil — the alignment of stars, the shifting of planets, and the state of my own life. During one of the annual Lion’s Gate portals, a few years ago, the first spark of My Shadow Knaves Story arrived. The Lion and the Lioness carried a deep significance for me even then, and the synopsis that came through was too large for a single book to contain.
So I wrote the first and most dynamic part — the part that speaks directly to the world we’re living in now, where violence, especially domestic violence, is erupting inside the walls of non-peaceful abodes across the world.
For readers, this story is also a mirror. It’s about recognising where you stand in your own life, recognising the labels you’ve worn, and realising that none of them have to define your future.
You have choices. You do not have to live forever inside a storm, or in isolation, or in whatever shadowed place you currently find yourself.
Your choices begin with the relationship you have with yourself — and with your shadows. The little knaves that whisper, distort, and confuse can be outgrown. You can rise beyond their tricks.
Readers may find truths about themselves here — some uncomfortable, some illuminating. Your actions, reactions, and behaviours affect others in ways you may never have imagined, for better or worse.
